The only sign of wear is a bit of scuffing on the black plating on the steel support bars for the detachable rack, as well as some modest scuffs along the rim and corners (see photos). Any wear is commensurate with its age and past usage. less

Offered is a large staved end-grain Teak wood carving board with removable rack. Made in Denmark in 1964 under the Digsmed label, it is a quintessential example of form meets function and the epitome of masterful mid 20th Century Scandinavian design.
The board itself appears to have rarely, if ever, been used. The rack attaches by inserting the prongs into the two holes on the top of the board, and then securing and tightening the screws on the side. This helps for cleaning the board, for storing the board when not in use, and for shipping the board safely and securely without wasting space. While there are discussions about whether the rack is used to hang utensils or to hang cuts of meat that have just been carved is up for debate - it really is one's personal choice. The board has a large oval grooved moat to capture juices, and the base is elevated with 4 rubber footed stoppers for securing it and comfort while in use, as well as for protecting counter and table surfaces.
Measurements:
The board measures 17.75" x 12.5" x 1.25"
Assembled, the board and rack measure 15.75" tall (from rubber feet to tip of the prongs). less
