Antique Brass 'Drum' Urn Table Lamp Custom Made 1950s - With New Custom Burlap Shade

This vintage lamp is in very good to excellent condition given its origin, history and over 60 years of usage. There is a very slight noticeable 'tilt' to the brass rod emerging from the top of the lamp body that is ONLY noticeable when the lamp shade is removed. Some dents and small marks in the aged brass vessel portion of the lamp are 'intended imperfections'. They are to be expected in a hand-crafted antique brass vessel such as this one which was purposely chosen for repurposing as a lamp due to its unique rustic quality and handmade look and style. The electrical condition of the lamp was checked professionally a few years ago at which time a new cord son/off witch was added, and the lamp currently remains in good working condition. HOWEVER, as with ALL electrical items and especially vintage ones like this one, the buyer is strongly advised to have it professionally inspected prior to installation and use. The included newish custom shade was made at the time the above work was done and remains in excellent condition. NOTE: be aware that although there is patina to the brass surfaces, the degree of 'light and dark' areas appearing in some photos are more exaggerated than the appearance of the brass in person due to reflections and shadows caused by other lighting in the room where photos were taken.
