This antique Carl Thieme Dresden porcelain German Bavarian majolica ware reticulated footed compote was made by the Dresden Co. and it was made circa 1890. This compote was designed by the great designer Carl Thieme who was noted for his excellent majolica ware flowers that were done with expert detail made to look quite life like. This piece was hand painted with a floral bouquet in the center which has Carl Thieme's name stamped on it bottom right of the design. This dresden porcelain reticulated footed compote measures 5 1/4" wide at the rim by 3 1/2" tall and it is in "Excellent Condition" with no chips, no cracks, no repairs, and only slight wear to the piece for the age it has one broken flower stem out of all the flowers on this piece.
