This is for a wonderful vintage Oval Middle Eastern, Moorish style heavy solid brass tray. It is highly polished to show the finely hand-carved paisley and geometric designs. Due to the size, this is very hard to find one that measures 45" long x 33.25" x 2" deep at the rim. This piece is very heavy and could be leaned up ton top of perhaps cabinets besides being a table top, it does not have a hook to hang.
This lovely piece is an amazing hand crafted art metalwork piece. The tray is the table top itself for perhaps a coffee table or on a low base as a dining table. (This being how they are used in areas like Morocco, Syria, India, Egypt and in the Middle East to serve food or tea). Also could be used outside for a table top but will tarnish faster.
This tray is delicately hand hammered with a Moorish motif and has a scalloped rim referred to as a pie crust rim.
This style of tray works well in contemporary, traditional to modern mid century decors. What is nice is the etching is very versatile and not specific to one motif or decor.
Each tray is hand-hammered, hand etched and is one of a kind piece of art and would be, circa 1920. This lovely tray needs a special place to be displayed due to its size alone! The tray has been polished completely on the top.
Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.
* I take all my own pictures in my home and as such try and get all the colors as true to correct as possible.

* Assume items are preloved and or vintage and such can have its own idiosyncrasies due to age alone and normal wear and tear.
