“Zelda”, imagined in the 1960s by Italian designer and architect Sergio Asti, and published by Portronova, is a range of modern living room furniture. Sergio Asti will become one of the founding members of the UAM (Union of Modern Artists) after having opened his cabinet in Milan at the turn of the century. His work is marked by industrial design and the experimentation of forms and materials. It offers an organic design, made of new, organic forms. His work is rewarded with many awards and his pieces are part of the collections of many design museums. The 3 -seater sofa in the Zelda collection is characteristic of Asti's work. Its innovative cross shape is dictated by the use of an original base, in the thermoformed plywood angles. Its modern and graphic appearance is reinforced by the dark shade of wood matched with an icy brown skkai effect. The seat is very comfortable, firm but enveloping, thanks to the removable chip holds. Easy to integrate despite its crazy personality, this design sofa has everything from Italian, classy and daring elegance at the same time.
The 3 -seater sofa is old and dates from the 60s. It was designed by Sergio Asti for Portronova and belongs to the “Zelda” collection. The structure is made of thermoformed wood with the deep shade supported by cushions in icy brown. Comfort is optimal, firm and welcoming at the same time. Removable hold-up cushions add to the comfort. Traces of uses are visible in photo: a very small hanging on the skai, some traces of use on vinyl. The back of the sofa is superb, very graphic, allowing the sofa to be placed in the center of the room. The furniture in the Zelda range by Poltronova is no longer produced. This version is very not very common.
