This is a RARE original fashion drawing created in the 1950s by a Bordeaux couturier, Jean-Pierre Chansard. It is a showstopper! Chic and sophisticated. Forever timeless. The grey tone 3/4 sleeve suit with detailed sleeves is worn with a lavender blouse and long black gloves. The black cloche hat worn over one eye adds the finishing touches. Note the makeup and the model's wonderful gaze. The fashion illustration is done in grey tone gouache and ink on thick off white paper stock. We purchased this from a Parisian print dealer who specializes in original fashion drawings; she provided us with a copy of the couturier's letterhead as authentic documentation. See photo. This is RARE!!! 9.5 x 12.5 inches in size. Excellent, clean condition.
