The silhouette of this chair closely imitates Hans Wener's iconic 'Round Chair,' also known as simply 'The Chair' and debuted in 1949. That said, the obvious difference in materials harkens to the innovation and minimal, sleek design of the Bauhaus movement. Four uniform legs extend seamlessly upwards to support the arm and backrests. The bright red, enameled, hollow steel tubes are subtly tapered on top and bottom for a refined toothpick shape you might miss at first glance. The black rubber seating has a fine grid pattern and texture that is visual up close, which provides a subtle sheen.
