It Comes From the Classic Late Victorian Era - Circa late 19th Century. It is Completely Hand Made Out of Solid Mahogany and it Still Retains its Original Varnish that has Developed a Beautiful Color and Patina Over the Years. The Hand Oil Painted Lettering is Done in Classic Victorian Style Script and Reads - "POST Goes out 5,Clock" Note that The Letter Drop Slot on The Top is Framed with a Solid Brass Inlay ( Age Tarnished ). The Side Entry Door Has its Original Brass Locking Mechanism but Note! That I Does Not Come With a Functional Key. The Key that is Pictured in my Listing Works Well as a Handle to Open and Close the Door, and it Is Included but it Does Not Lock or Unlock.
