Realistically modeled, bald with beard of small curls, deep-set downcast eyes and severe wrinkles, all symbolizing empathy for sufferings, with compassionate, poignant countenance. Both hands together in namaskara mudra expressing acceptance and prayer, holding a long string of prayer beads which hangs down to his knees. This finely carved piece uses prized fragrant camphor wood with natural red and blond grains, combines traditionally value and modern aesthetics in one. See less
