As noted in the description and seen on the photos, there is stable hairline crack at the base and also a small dent, both nearly impossible to see unless you are looking at them with a discerningly inspective eye.

These extraordinary lamps are made from a combination of stoneware and brass, they are substantial and elegant. In some aspects, they have a very coastal vibe - like something you might encounter in a distinguished Newport ship captain's living room. Their gorgeous base layer color of slate blue/ gray is encircled with fine gold stripes throughout their tall stature, highlighted by two prominent variegated areas of deco rounded hatching zigzags. The "break-though" layer nearing the bottom is adorned with small brass beaded legs, which seemingly appear to hold or separate the body of these gorgeous lamps for style. On the bottom rim there is a ring of fine corded brass beads that encircle the base. It appears that one strand of the beads is ever so slightly smaller than the other. This variation is almost impossible to see unless you are really looking for it. It is unknown if this was original, or if it was replaced at some point. There is a small very stable hairline crack nearing the base of one of the lamps, please see photos. There also appears to be a very small dent at the base of one of the lamps as well, however with beautiful gold striping and the overall eye catching beauty of these lamps, it is very hard to see. In order to see these imperfections you must be really be carefully inspecting them, as one would to disclose these fine errors. Considering the age of these lamps, these small imperfections are appreciable. Maker and age are unknown, although the soft yellow cloth cord is indicative of a time period between the early to mid 20th century. less
