Description: Adolphe Wansart, (1873-1954, Benezit-listed) accomplished Belgian painter and sculptor, painted (and signed) this oil on board of an abstract landscape … more Adolphe Wansart, (1873-1954, Benezit-listed) accomplished Belgian painter and sculptor, painted (and signed) this oil on board of an abstract landscape around 1943 (dated but illegible). Excellent condition.

Wansart also painted the reverse side of this board: nude seated at a table, vase with tulips; this work is signed and clearly dated 1943. A subtle palette with complex coloring informs the delicate mood of the subject. There is some loss and also blistering to the paint of the subject's hair.

Newly framed. The painting is easily flipped in the frame.
