This marvelous mid-century "Deco-Tel" Boxed Executive Desk Phone featuring working rotary dialing function and a carved wooden box case. Truly a piece that exemplifies the happy marriage of technology and design, and a piece of history from a lifestyle long gone. From the beautiful rotary dial to the carved laurel motif on the exterior wood case, which hid the telephone from view so as not to disrupt the look of an elegant desk or glamorous table scape, this executive telephone was a status symbol as much as it was a useful everyday tool. Rumored to be the same model as that one owned/used by Elvis himself, which sold at Auction in 2013 for an undisclosed amount! Truly a desk or coffee table phone for the modern king or queen!
