It Comes from … Read more This really is a Great Looking - Very Unusual Antique American Cast Iron Table Top Nut Cracker. It Comes from the Classic Victorian Era - Circa Approx. 1880s. It is done in a Ornate Style with a Lyre ( Musical Instrument ) Center Riser. It has No Maker Marks but in my considered opinion it is American in Origin. When a Nut is Placed in the Jaws the Handle Raises and Lowers to Operate the Cracker Function. It is Heavy Cast Weighing Just a Bit Over 3 Pounds. It Still Retains Some of its Original Black Paint with Nice Authentic Patina. It is in Very Good Overall Cosmetic and Functional Condition - No Damage - No Repairs. It has 2 Holes at the Base so that It Can be Fastened - Screwed to a Flat Surface.
It Measures Overall 6 1/2 Inches Tall x 9 Inches Long x 4 Inches Wide.
