Italian school of the 18th century.Within a rather barren landscape, with architectural ruins on the left and snow-capped peaks in the background on the right, a number of shepherds, leading their flocks of cows, sheep and goats, pass along the path. In the 'northern landscape setting, the rosy hue of the sky and the pastoral character of the scene lend that idealistic atmosphere characteristic of eighteenth-century landscape painting, in which the 'fulfillment of feeling prevailed rather than the intent of realistic transposition.Restored and retouched, the painting is presented in a styled frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
