Pair Of 19th Century French Cast Iron Garden Urns Attributed to Alfred Corneau
This rare pair of mid 19th century French cast iron garden urns are adorned with well detailed griffin handles are heavy weight and in very good condition.
This pair of 19th century French cast iron urns is attributed to Corneau Charleville Foundry.
The Corneau brothers Emile and Alfred became business partners in 1846, by 1856 they had set up in the Petit-Bois district of Charleville, and 3 years later in 1859 they opened foundry Corneau Frères, known for stoves, heaters and household cast iron ornamental items.
This fine pair of French Napoleon III cast iron garden urns or garden planters retain a stunning patina of old paint and would work well in an interior setting or exterior on a terrace or garden setting.
