Dynamic black & white ink wash study of a candelabra with tapers and napkins. Vivid brush strokes and strong diagonals in the rope detail of the candles, the arms of the candlestick, and the folds of the napkin bring vitality to the piece. The work catches a moment in time as the guests are departing but the cleaning has not yet begun. Signed in pencil at lower right by the artist, Ann Bessette, 12-78. Suitable for framing.
Condition is very good with minor paper wear.
