The village of Rambervillers in the Vosges has been renowned since the 19th century for its production of flamed sandstone. The use of metallic oxides in second cooking provides brilliant renderings, iridescent reflections and each time unique. More than the production of dishes and usual parts, the potters of Rambervillers turned to artistic production and the parts of shape. This pretty ball vase is delicately shaped, with overflows with biomorphic collar. Enamel work gives it multicolored reflections that irritate light.
