The … more Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso blue, red-orange and aventurine stripe pattern Italian art glass fish figurine / sculpture. The fish is documented to designer Galliano Ferro, for the Fornasa De Murano A L'Insegna Del Moreto company. The line decoration on the body is created in a "Fenicio" or pulled feather design. The lines are doubled with the orange and glittery copper aventurine next to each other. The figure also has some UV reactive / Uranium glass within it, as it glows under a black light (please see photo). Would make a great companion piece on any desk, coffee table or curio cabinet. Use it as a paperweight, or display it as a decorative piece in your home. Mid-century era. Last photo shows tool markings on the tail of the fish and thin flat nick. Measures 4 1/4" long x 2 1/2" high x 1 3/4" wide.
