An original watercolor painting on paper by William Walker Telfer, Scottish artist 1907-1993, "The Horseshoes", scene of the church, the … Read more An original watercolor painting on paper by William Walker Telfer, Scottish artist 1907-1993, "The Horseshoes", scene of the church, the pub and the chapel in Eggington, Bedfordshire in 1969, signed Eggington in the lower left corner front, signed Telfer/69 in the lower right corner front, inscribed on the reverse "Eggington, Beds., from Langley cottage garden, William Telfer F.I.A.L., the church, the pub & the chapel, (the horseshoes)", 11 1/4" x 15 1/8", CA number 3902, CA purchased December 2022 from a British auction house.
The watercolor retains the original decorated matting and 1" Whistler style antiqued gold moulding.. New to the work is Conservation Clear Glass and museum backing.
Telfer was president of the Falkirk Art Club from 1938-1948. See less
