This 9-Piece Georges Briard Sterling Overlay Hosting/Serving Set features the "Damask" Pattern, a beautiful motif of silver band trim pieces with the with modernist leaves and foliage at the center of each piece. This set exudes mid-century hospitality and glamour, in silver detail, which was rare for Georges Briard pieces. Many of the piece can be used for a variety of purposes making this the ultimate retro hosting set for all occasions. Finding all of these matching pieces in such wonderful condition is indeed rare!

Georges Briard (May 17, 1917 – July 30, 2005 ) was a designer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. He is most well known for his signature dishware and glassware - everything from cups and plates to gold plated serving dishes. His signature collections were retailed at noted department stores, such as Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller.
