To one end there is a tight, twisted shell shaped handle or detail. Pontil base bottom evident as image indicates. This lovely bowl also takes on a paisley shaped form, as one of images indicates a top viewpoint vantage point. Also depending upon the light on any given day, the cranberry coloration will take on a lighter or deeper depth of quality as will the infused details within.
