Did someone say "Groovy!"?? Mid-century modern tall wooden lamp, called "Gruvwood" . Wooden slats, in walnut, with ebonized black metal base and top. Original mid-century shade. European Scandinavian /Danish styling. Featured in 1964 World's Fair Exposition "The House of Good Taste" in New York City. Dubbed Gruvwood, and copied by European designers and manufacturers.
American Paul McCobb influenced design.
I love it because of it's oversized shade, over 3 feet tall together!

Shade has a few small inside cracks that can be seen when lamp is illuminated. Lamp base is in excellent condition. No scratches, amazing vintage condition.
