Molded in the form of a large yellow melon with green vines and leaves. The lid is decorated with leaves and a top knob molded as a small melon. The bottom half of the melon is attached to a large under tray molded as a curling leaf with deep relief veining.

The base is stamped: Sarreguemines, France.
