Created in Japan during the 19th century, this porcelain plate features a delicate blue and white décor depicting a peaceful scene: occupying the right side of the composition, a grouping of blooming trees and bamboo branches are growing on a rocky formation. Their diagonal lines lead our eyes to the two cranes that are flying in the sky. Bordered by a scalloped edge alternating light blue and dark blue motifs, this Japanese hand-painted porcelain plate from the 19th century will make for a lovely addition to any home décor, perhaps placed on a commode, side table or console!
