A pair of rare and fine matching dark brown and antique white ginger jars complete with custom made hand carved rosewood stands and reticulated rosewood tops.. Applied ornate raised swirls of leaves and peonies decorate the jars, craquelure visible under glaze. The brown colour is known as 'iron brown' and can best be described as espresso or dark chocolate.
Stamped 'China' - indicates made in the late Republic period and are collectable nowadays. Republic of China (1912-1949)
Exquisite, simple and elegant Chinoiserie accent pieces. Now very collectable.
