Hand-carved in the late 1700’s, the Baroque period candlesticks feature an elaborate presentation of curled leaves and C-scrolls. Each candlestick has been carved at a right angle and is supported by a thin base with a chamfered edge. The shape, coupled with the three cascading scalloped edge bobeches (the center cup sits higher than the two that flank it), provide an intriguing site line.
