A MAJESTIC early/mid 20th century art glass bottle or decanter
All mouth blown, hand molded and hand painted in polychrome enamels glass, aka Moser style
Amber brown color
Stylish, long baluster shape
Exquisitely hand painted all over with vividly colored raised enamels and golden highlights, featuring a Medieval knight riding a horse in full armor, three heralds with banners and a castle, a cape and sword themed scenery, entangled with trees and foliage
A typical piece of art from the renown Catalan Majorcan art glass studios in Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Possibly by Vidrios da Arte Gordiola, the Gordiola Glassmaking Company, which is the oldest, established in 1719
The Mallorcan production rivals the best examples of the Venetian and Murano glassworks
In July 2021 the technique of glass-blowing was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
