Large, roomy, comfortable 26 by 40 inch statement piece Bergere Chair!
Newly reupholstered with stunning oversized gorgeous bright blue Schumacher vintage Chinoiserie toile fabric of oversized scale! Many Chinoiserie blues are a bit gray or navy making them a bit more somber, however, the blue color in these chairs are varying shades of a dazzeling brighter medium blue! That sort of blue you find you just can't stop gazing at, much like a set twinkling bright blue eyes! Much like the finest Chinese Chinoiserie blue ceramics. Finished with a double welting trim on the sophisticated yet simple HAND CARVED vine detail vintage ltalian hardwood White Gold finish chair frames which work perfectly with the floral print!!! The carving details on the chairs have grapevine inspired twisting lines and curling vines, which play off perfectly with the beautifully detailed twisting branches and flowers form an all-over ogee pattern in this classic chinoiserie toile. Please note these hand carved details at the arm rests flowing into the chair seat. These chair frames are a high quality, high style yet a straightforward modern take on the Berger Shape without being ostentatious or flamboyant which is perfect for contemporary tastes. The chair finish is a beautiful soft White Gold so it has a sophisticated yet subtle fresh appeal compared to typical Gold or white shabby chic Bereger tyles. In a few photos the finish looks yellow but that is the reflection of the sun. They are a subtle White Gold as indicated in most the photos and the details section.
The Chinoiserie fabric design is based on an antique copper plate engraving, it has a lovely delicacy, with lots of details, especially featured with the large scale dimension used. The chairs are approximately 26 by 40 so they are large, roomy, comfortable statement pieces.
