Gorgeous C-Scroll legs and elegant belt banded iron make up the classic base of this fine example of Mexican Modernism. Two rectangular bands of metal branch out to create the legs, elegant buckles wrap the bands and create this fantastic minimal detailing walks the lines between classical and modern design. The deep red bole is visible underneath the mottled gilt which creates a fantastic Vintaged look. The original glass top is 3/4" thick with gorgeous polished edge and rounded corners (few minor scratches). Signed on the underside of the base "Mexico" and we believe to be produced by the blacksmith workshop of Manuel Chacon in Mexico City which created Pani's original designs. Circa 1950's. less
