Possibly Chinese as they were in … more A beautiful pair of 19th century large carved wooden asian lions with wonderful patina. Possibly Chinese as they were in a collection of mostly Chinese furniture and architectural pieces. Some areas have a faded tempera style paint. One lion has had some repairs made. There are flaws throughout that is to be expected with something of this age. One lion has a broken foot but still stands and there are weathered cracks throughout. Both lions fit together like puzzle pieces and will come disassembled but labeled. less
