Offering an Iconic Mid 20th Century Modern marble table lamp by Nessen Studios, designed by Walter Von Nessen, circa 1960's. Engraved signature on socket and labeled on bottom.
This VERY HEAVY (see weight below) is a substantial cylindrical SOLID slab of marble in off-white with subtle tan and light brown veining....most likely a rare version of Italian Calacatta Gold Marble. This simplistic lamp is beautifully classic in its minimalist design.
EXCELLENT RESTORED CONDITION. New clear electrical cord and new internal sockets have been added for safety. The marble is flawless without chips or scratches. The brass neck has some tarnishing. The white enamel painted finial and cluster is original to the design as you can see the old blue label over the white paint. Suited for a collector that appreciates the lamp in its immaculate original condition.
SHADE NOT INCLUDED.
This substantial lamp will enhance any Mid Century Modern, Contemporary, Art Deco or Minimalist decor. Nessen Lamps were originally manufactured by Nessen Studio, Inc., which was established by Walter von Nessen in New York in 1927.
