The piece is signed on the … Read more This tall antique terracotta sculpture depicts two expressive, young boys playing in rustic costume. The piece is signed on the back G. Van Vaerenbergh, circa 1880, and features rich polychrome colors. The artist, Gustave Van Vaerenbergh (1873-1927), was a Belgium sculptor; he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. He was mainly known for his women's busts and children compositions. Measures: 9" W x 10" D x 27" H. See less
