This Peter Blake rare vintage 1985 lithograph print custom framed Pop Art poster " The Meeting or Have a Nice Day, Mr Hockney " 1981, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Pop Art poster print is published by The Tate Gallery, London, printed in an unnumbered limited edition in Great Britain in 1985 for The Trustees of The Tate Gallery. It features a Pop Art artwork image originally created by Blake in 1981-3 titled " The Meeting or Have a Nice Day, Mr. Hockney ", copyright 1985 The Tate Gallery.
Sir Peter Thomas Blake ( B. 1932 ) is an English born Pop artist, best known for creating the sleeve design for The Beatles album cover Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. One of the most well known British Pop artists, Blake is considered to be one of the most prominent British artists of The 20th Century. Central to his paintings are his interest in images of popular culture which have been infused into his collages and paintings. Artworks by Blake are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print framed Pop Art poster print measures 27 3/4" W X 27 3/4" H X 1 1/2" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish bleached white oak wood museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
