A segmented blue band surrounds the lip, with finely drawn, red and blue garlic leaf lappets covering the garlic head shape below. A dense, red and pink interlocking lattice with quartered blue and white Ru Yi medallions, between fine, double blue trim circles, covers the neck. Large, finely shaded, polychrome, peony medallions amid branching, intertwined, red vines with green and blue leaves decorate the body of the vase. A band of red Ru Yi lappets encircles the extended foot. A six character, blue Jiajing reign mark within double circles is glazed to the deeply inset base. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. less
