Pair Federal Style Turned Brass Fireplace Andirons - Firedogs. Baluster shaped columns with tall finials painted in copper finish. Ornate cabriole legs. Circa 1920s - 1940s. "L" and "R" marked on the back of the brass billet bars.
Shanks have been cut off (see last photo). Can be used as decorative pieces for electric/gas fireplace, or to keep the logs from rolling out of the fireplace. Good condition, no major damage to the metal. Overall heavy storage wear (dust, dirt, rust, corrosion, patina etc.).
