Description: Chinese framed porcelain Kuan Yin plaque, done in red and white glazes, a finely drawn portrait of Kuan Yin with … more Chinese framed porcelain Kuan Yin plaque, done in red and white glazes, a finely drawn portrait of Kuan Yin with a halo, seated in Lalitasana on scholar's rock throne amid the ocean waves, displaying the Ushnisha, long earlobes and the Wisdom Eye, wearing long flowing robes and jewelry on her neck, arm, wrist and ankles. Depicted in the background are the flask of the water of life carried on the back of a turtle. Mounted in an original, finely carved, Chinese, heavy, hongmu frame with original Chinese bronze hanger. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
