Gold gilt and gold foil against a luscious olive green and crisp clear glass background sets off the leafy vine motif of these stylish footed rocks glasses. Attributed to Libbey Glass, the pattern is similar to Culver’s Toledo pattern. Olive green and gold was a popular color combination used in late mid 20th-century and into 1970s barware, so this set’s color palette will complement most iconic-in-style bar setup you may have going. Each glass measures 4” x 3” x 2¾” H/W/D; capacity per glass 8 oz. when filled to the brim; together the set weighs 1 lb. 11 oz. Glasses are one piece press and blow stemware, a patented process Libbey introduced in 1970. Glass color is transparent with a leaf and vine banded motif in olive green and 22-karat gold; smooth rounded lips are accented with 22-karat gold gilt. In excellent condition with minimal wear. Indiscernible wear in a spot or two to the 22-karat gold gilt trim (see photos 5, 7 & 8) that will take a magnifying glass to locate. These beauties hail from the 1970s; probably early to mid and have no makers mark. Beautifully styled and elegantly appointed, the perfect set for a collector of out of the ordinary barware or the perfect gift for someone who is.
