Under and around the Settee seat Springs is old beautiful Straw. Straw was used as padding in times before the use of horse hair. Other Pieces we acquired from the same Estate as this Settee have locks which are etched signed , Paris France. For example the 1800’s Ladies Writing. This 1800’s breathtaking French Settee was obviously originally from a Grand French Estate! It was certainly as well cared for as the beautiful gardens it surely looked out upon.
