A rare piece of history from one of the grandest hotels in france! In fact when the Royal Picardy hotel was built in the 1920s it was considered the largest and most luxurious hotel in the world. If you were royalty or rich and famous, this was the place to stay. It unfortunately was demolished in the 1960s, so not many artifacts have survived.
This is a lovely antique circa 1920s heavy silver plated serving ladle from the Royal Picardy hotel in Le Touquet Paris-Plage. In excellent condition, no major dents or damage, just the usual small bumps, marks and signs of use you would expect from old hotel silver that was used daily. The ladle is engraved on the back of the handle with the hotel name and crest, marked in the bowl with Ercuis marks.
Measures approximately 12.75 inches in length.
