Chinese dragon scroll, signed with numerous red and black seal marks scattered about the image. Colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a sky blue, gray and silver, silk brocade in a dragon medallions lattice pattern, with a black silk makio and kakio at the top and black jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll cover is a faint, sky blue, raw silk. Image is 25.25" wide x 50.25" high.
A finely drawn and shaded, three-clawed, sky dragon, cavorts among the thunderclouds over craggy palisades, depicted with a chimu and wearing horns, long whiskers and shoulder flames, he looks to the left for his next destination. less
