Description: Custom built high end - fantastic is an understatement. The materials all originated from a building built in the 1870s … more Custom built high end - fantastic is an understatement. The materials all originated from a building built in the 1870s in a small Texas town called Navasota, Texas. The table top and base boards came from an old building going through restoration. The boards had old square nails that were used in original construction, rough cut heart pine, and a full 2” thick. The building served as a saloon, hotel, brothel, general store, etc. The walls of the building are 3’ thick limestone, building has been fully restored and now serves as an upscale restaurant, adjoining the recently restored hotel next door. The table edges show the old nails and holes, holes were filled with copper flake epoxy down both long sides. The table end boards were doweled, trestle base is dowed and screwed. Super solid and will last many lifetimes. The chairs are all Ethan Allen chairs - fantastic top quality table and chairs. See picture that shows the building from the 1870s as it was, complete with cowboys, buggies and horses. This table has also been offered for sale in our store, subject to being sold locally. less
