A rare 20th-century Burmese lacquerware table top cup in traditional Burmese style with a parrot motif with classic red interior. All sides are hand-painted. Rarely in this condition.
The cup is in excellent condition, with minimal wear for its age and only one superficial lacquer crack. It shows pride of ownership from the previous owner. This piece was recently discovered in the legendary interior designer Lucia Lawrence's private collection and it has been stored in a climate-controlled environment continuously, wrapped in Shipping paper.
