This Wayne Thiebaud rare Pop Art offset lithograph print museum poster " Three Machines " 1963, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Pop Art poster print is published by The De Young Museum of Fine Arts San Francisco, printed in The United States in 2013, copyright Wayne Thiebaud, licensed by VAGA NY. NY. It features a Pop Art artwork image originally created by Thiebaud in 1963 titled " Three Machines ".
Wayne Thiebaud ( 1920 - 2021 ) is an American painter widely known for his luscious handling of paint, and brilliant colorful palette of works depicting commonplace objects that combined sensuousness, nostalgia, and a hint of melancholy. Thiebaud is associated with The Pop Art Movement because of his interest in objects of mass culture, although his early works, executed during the 1950's and 1960's, slightly predate the works of classic Pop artists. Thiebuad uses heavy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well defined shadows of advertisements are almost always included in his work. Art works by Thiebaud are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums.
