Add a French touch of modest elegance to your tabletop or mantel with this superb cast bronze Empire candlestick. The candlestick is neo-classical in form, finely chased relief with banded column stem, rising from a circular base with a frieze of flower blossoms within diamond hatching and twisted bead motifs.
In excellent antique condition with normal wear commensurate with age and use. The hand-forged screw allows for disassembly and the bronze retains a beautiful undisturbed patina. A timeless design and superb casting very characteristic indeed of French quality craftsmanship prevalent in the 1st quarter of the 19th century.
