I had this gorgeous, quite large, mid-century modern-inspired upholstered lounge chair custom made in late 2016 for the sitting room in our master suite in our former home. The smaller footprint of our new home’s master suite does not have a sitting room and this beauty is far too large to scale properly. It’s in need of a great new home, yours perhaps? Handcrafted bench assembled wood frame assembly is reinforced with corner block construction and kiln dried solid wood spring rails for warping prevention. The high gauge sinuous spring seat platform suspension is balanced by a synthetic webbed back construction for a resilient and well-balanced sit. Joints are glued, stapled and screwed to ensure frame stability and longevity. Lower platform and legs are solid hardwood finished in a low VOC espresso stain. The high-density polyurethane foam core (contains no flame retardants or harmful chemicals) is encapsulated with multi-layer fiber sheeting for lofted seating comfort. The loose bench seat and loose back cushions provide medium to firm support. The back cushion has button tufting on both sides, while the bench seat cushion has button tufting only on one side with the opposite side being smooth (see photos 8 & 9). The upholstery’s multi-faceted fabric offers a depth of texture, pattern and color. The cross-hatch diagonal weave creates a visually pleasing pattern that is articulated by golden undertones to the main color which is appropriately named Vibe Sunkist. The fabric’s hand is soft yet resilient made from 50% polyester and 50% acrylic which can be spot cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. In excellent, pristine condition with nominal (if any) use wear. It is a rather large chair, so please take the dimensions into consideration when measuring your space. This beauty measures as follows:
