This extraordinary original painting was part of Chinese paintings that focused on Gods, Celestials, and Immortal Beings. The painting was done with ink and color in the 19th century on paper. This illustration features Buddha sitting atop a lotus blossom throne, with a large celestial orange sun behind him he offers his palm upward. Vivid royal blue, red and green decorate his draping robe and throne as it rests upon lotus blossoms. Signed by artist in lower right side.
