This Pablo Picasso rare vintage 1980 lithograph print custom framed Paris exhibition poster " Woman with Straw Hat on Flowery Background " 1938, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The French exhibition poster print is published by The Galerie Claude Bernard Paris. Printed in France in 1980 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the " Peintures 1901 - 1971 " exhibition. IT features an artwork image originally created by Picasso in 1938 titled " Femme au Chapeau de Paille sur Fond Fleuri " ( Woman in Straw Hat on Flowery Background ), copyright SPADEM, Paris.
Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. He is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The Twentieth Century. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.
The rare out of print lithograph print framed Paris exhibition poster measures 23 3/4" W X 36 1/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte brushed brass finish gold tone metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean condition consistent with age and light signs of handling.
