Charming cream, green and blue majolica pitcher in a English thatched cottage form. Fabricated in Japan but very British in style. Highly detailed with arched door flanked by flowering tree & shrubs, ribbed thatch roof, multipane windows, and branch motif. Lovely to display on its own or repurpose as a vase. Unidentified "Made in Japan" mark encircling a drawing of Mount Fuji indicating fabrication between 1921 and 1947 or after 1952. We believe them to be from the earlier period.
Very good vintage condition; minor chip on spout edge and crazing, neither of which detract from its appearance.
Free local pickup; otherwise shipped via economical UPS ground
