This Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique French Marching Snare Drum. Circa Very Early 1900s. The Brass Center Section "Shell" is Embossed With the Paris France Maker Company Name of COUESNON. It Also has Other Markings That Include EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE DE PARIS 1901, HORS CONCOURS, PARIS Etc. - Please See Photograph in Listing. It has Steam Bent Oak or Possibly Ash Wood Top and Bottom Rims with the Old Style Rope and Leather Tension Connectors. It has Been Used Extensively Over The Years and Along the Way it has Developed a a Wonderful Original Naturally Aged and Weathered Rustic Appearance that Cannot be Duplicated - All Highlighted by the Original Blue Painted Features. The Brass Shell Has and Assortment of Dents and Also Retains it Original Aged Patina. It Would Displays Beautifully as a Unique Decorator Item in Just The Rite Setting. It is Aged - Weathered - Has Dents in the Brass - is Slightly Out of Shape - Missing the Lower Part of the Snare Mechanism that Goes Across the Bottom of the Drum Etc.
