This Max Bill rare lithograph print custom framed Modernist exhibition poster " Unity Composed of Colors that Occupy Equal Surfaces " 1972, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Modernist poster print is published by The Fundacion Juan March, Madrid Spain, printed in 2015 in Spain in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an artwork image originally created by max Bill in 1972 titled " Unity Composed of Colors that Occupy Equal Surfaces " ( Einheit Flaschengleichen Farben - Unided Compuesta por Colores que Occupan Superficies Iguales ), copyright Max, Binia + Jakob Bill Stitung, CH-Adligenswil / VEGAP, Madrid.
max Bill ( 1908 - 1994 ) Was a Swiss architect, painter, typeface, industrial and graphic designer. Bill is considered the single most decisive influence on Swiss graphic design beginning in the 1950's. He was a student at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany, where he studied under Josef Albers, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. During this time, he began to formulate the principles of The Concrete Art Movement by expanding the theories of Theo Van Doesburg, strongly guided by his training. Bill would become an influential figure in furthering the traditions of The Bauhaus Designs.
His work is characterized by a clarity of design and precise proportions. As an artist he sought to created forms which visually represent the new physics of the early 20th Century. The Modernist Bauhaus influenced art works of Max Bill are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out print framed Modernist exhibition poster print measures 24" W X 30" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern royal blue satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
